Matthews Christian Academy’s self-contained elementary classes consists of grades 1–6. All teachers are certified and degreed.
curriculum
Our primary curriculum is Bob Jones University Press. This curriculum provides a solid foundation of Biblical integration and higher-level thinking skills. Teachers use a variety of current media technologies. Specific target goals and objectives are identified for each grade.
activities
Students are involved in field trips, class projects, spirit week, and a wide variety of activities depending on the age of the students. Students have access to our award winning fine arts program, private music lessons, art, computers, and physical education classes.
communication
Matthews Christian Academy utilizes FACTS. Parents have instant 24/7 access to grades, behavior, attendance, assignments, and transcripts.
Lunch
Matthews Christian Academy offers a pizza lunch on Fridays which can be pre-ordered with their homeroom teacher.
before & after-school care
Before-school and afternoon care is available at an additional cost. Please see your enrollment package for current prices. Late Stay closes at 6:00pm; anyone arriving after 6:00pm will be charged an additional $15.00. On days when school closes early, Late Stay will be provided until 2:00pm.
